The Supreme Court has come out and said that they “will not fast-track two petitions that ask the high court to again review the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act’s individual mandate.”
This means that the outcome of the future of the Affordable Care Act will be deferred until the fall if the Court even decides to hear about the dispute.
Obamacare’s individual mandate was nullified because of tax grounds, and a group of blue states along with congressional Democrats decided to appeal to the Supreme Court. The timing of everything made Democrats want the high court to expedite the hearing, but Trump’s administration did not want that, and said “that lower court proceedings should continue before the justices get involved.”
